About Jon Hartley

Something new for the coaching industry was set up three years ago by Jon Hartley, the ex Hotel Contractor for Wallace Arnold and Account Director for the InterContinental hotel Group.

Jon Hartley Solutions aims to go to small and mid sized coach and holiday operators to add even more to their contractors skills.

Everyone is on a learning curve, but a contractor can only go on what they were taught originally, or have picked up during their career.

I used to contract over a million bednights every year in the UK for almost twenty years for Wallace Arnold, and hopefully have a reputation for his honesty and plain talking.

“Compare contracting with the best driver a coach operator has. He has an introduction speech he has honed over the years, and this has been bettered by including or excluding phrases he has heard from other drivers. How can a contractor, working alone, better their skills?”

I offer PowerPoint Presentations, One to One, and One to Team sessions to share my knowledge and ideas. I am not saying I was the best - or even one of the best, but what I can offer is the experience of dealing with almost 500 hotels every year. Each one different in so many ways, yet in general they stayed with me and remained loyal to the company. My only wish is to share some of the knowledge I have built up in my 40 years in Travel and Tourism, and to enable contractors to try and obtain better deals in the future.

Jon Hartley Solutions has already been used by many operators to good effect on word of mouth recommendation, and is looking forward to working with many more.

Jon is also a 'Life Governor' of the RNLI and continually supports their work.

"The RNLI is the charity that provides a 24-hour lifesaving service around the UK and Republic of Ireland. Our lifeboat service in the UK receives no government funding .As a charity, the RNLI relies on your support to carry on saving lives at sea. Your support is vital in training and equipping our volunteer lifesaving crews."
